How to watch the Thanksgiving 2021 dog show


If watching the National Dog Show on Thanksgiving has become a tradition in your home, you’re in luck. Watching the Thanksgiving 2021 dog show this year is a snap.

This year marks the 20th year that the National Dog Show presented by Purina and hosted by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia will be broadcast on television. Each year thousands of dogs come to Pennsylvania to compete, but only one top dog is named Best in Show. This year not only marks a milestone anniversary of the National Dog Show, but also ushers an all-new breed, the Biewier Terrier (pronounced beaver terrier), to the toy group for the first time. So here’s everything you need to know.

The National Dog Show will air on NBC on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 25) after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade airs, like every year, with the same big hosts: John O’Hurley, David Frei and Mary Carillo. You will be able to watch the show on TV on NBC from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in any time zone. Make sure to check your local listings.

But unlike Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, this show habit be live. The competition will take place on November 20 and 21, and the show will air later in the week.

If you don’t have cable luckily there are other ways to catch it on Turkey Day. You can watch the competition live on the NBC website, but you will need a cable connection to watch it. Or, if you’re a subscriber to Hulu Live or YouTube TV, you’ll be able to watch the dog show on NBC.

However, if cooking has become too much of a task and the kids would rather watch a movie than a group of adorable dogs walking in a circle, fear not. You can attend the National Dog Show on Peacock after it airs on TV. While you’re at it you’ve got eight different episodes, dating back to 2013, because these dog show contestants are way too cute.
