Maddox wins class at dog show in Quincy, Florida – Reuters

Raley Maddox will be back in the dog show ring this weekend at the Florida Panhandler Australian Shepherd Club after winning big at a show last weekend.

The show will take place at Baker Area Arena in Baker, Florida. Raley will compete in the Junior and Intact breed rings. The first conformation show will begin on Saturday, January 22 at 9 a.m. There will be two conformation shows on Saturday and one show on Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m.

Raley and his Australian boys competed in Quincy, Florida on December 4-5, 2021. Raley won multiple ribbons in the Junior Ring. She won Best Junior in two shows and Junior Reserve in two shows. At the Intact Breed Ring on Saturday, December 4, Raley and Navy (Blue Merle) won their class and moved on to the Best of Breed ring, where they received the Best of Opposite Sex award. Additionally, in the Intact Best of Breed Ring, Raley and Swagger (Black Tri) received the Best of Breed award. At the Intact Breed Ring on Sunday, December 5, Raley and Navy (Blue Merle) won their class and moved on to the Best of Breed ring, where they received Best of Opposite Sex.

For the weekend in Quincy, Florida, Raley and his Aussie boys took part in three separate shows. Raley competes in the junior ring for junior points towards the finals in October and the intact race ring, where she can earn points. She is now striving to make her dog, Navy, an Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) champion. Raley and Navy earned two points for his championship at the Quincy show.
