ROYAL KENNEL CLUB MEGA DOG SHOW BEGINS IN PANCHKULA

North India’s largest 1st and 2nd Championship dog show started here today at the Show Ground opposite the Holiday Inn Hotel, Sector 3 under the umbrella of the Royal Kennel Club, Panchkula. The presentation of the Rottweiler and Golden Retriever dogs was the highlight of the show. The show will also continue tomorrow Sunday.

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala will be the chief guest, while Ms Caroline Rowett, UK Deputy High Commissioner, representing the UK Government in Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, will be the special guest at the awards ceremony on Sunday.

Sikander Singh, general secretary of the Royal Kennel Club, said different breeds of dogs take part in the show. We have made elaborate security arrangements this time. Over 400 dogs from over 200 breeds participate.

Sunny Sheikhon, President of the Royal Kennel Club, Panchkula, said: “The members of the jury include Mr. Zoran, Mr. Dasko, Mr. CV Sudanshan and CA Martian from Serbia. The show was organized in association with the Management of MSME, Haryana, Planet Pets and Cherubs Play School.

Some European countries including Serbia, Italy, Germany, Slovenia and Russia participate in the dog show. Apart from this, dogs from Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Tricity are present there.
