Vote for the UK’s favorite dog breed as Liverpool’s choice is a serious contender

Boxers have a very high chance of being named the UK’s Favorite Dog Breed, but they will still need your vote to win.

Thousands of votes have been cast since the poll was launched by our sister site TeamDogs, in collaboration with Pooch & Mutt, with dog owners across the country defending their favorite breeds.

The Echo supports Boxers as the most expensive breed in the country – currently in third place – but you can vote for any dog you like.

Don’t worry if you’ve already participated – from today you can register another vote.

Every Friday, the 10 least popular breeds in the “dog room” section of the leaderboard are relegated from the competition.

Those that were eliminated this morning were the Corgi, Toy Poodle, Cavachon, American Bulldog, Tibetan Terrier, Lhasa Apso, Poochon, Bichon Frize, Doberman Pinscher and Pomeranian.

A few of our readers have shared photos of their dogs on our Facebook page in support of the Boxers. Chloe Martinson wrote: “Our little terror, Ruby.” Sharing a photo of her boxer.

David Dawson also showed his support for the breed and shared a photo. He wrote, “My old baby. The best breed ever. Nothing comes close.”

Earlier this week, three new breeds were added to the contest after readers were asked to lobby for those they felt should be included. These were the Bedlington Terrier, the Great Dane and the Samoyed.

You now only have eight days to support your favorite dog, as voting ends at 7 p.m. on Saturday August 14. To keep your favorites out of the niche and risk being knocked out of the competition, be sure to vote today.
